Hi all, Sarah here. I'm 32, software dev, been in El Poblado for about 3 months on the DNV. Came from Austin where the rent was eating me alive. Loving Medellín so far — looking to learn from people who've been here longer than me, especially around banking, longer-term housing (I want to leave El Poblado eventually), and how to actually meet locals.

For banking, most people use bancolombia, easy to send money, accepted everywhere, but not the only option. I believe you need a cedula - pretty much need that everywhere. For Healthcare, I recommend Salud Total and have a contact that can work with you on that.
